St. Lucie County Dining Guide
Fifteen places to eat, from a bait shop bar to downtown pasta and cider.
Eating in St. Lucie County is casual and close to the water. The Fort Pierce Inlet and its causeways are lined with fish houses, tiki bars and docks where boaters tie up for lunch, and the catch of the day is usually snapper, grouper, mahi or shrimp. Downtown Fort Pierce has become a small food district, with a brewery, a cidery, an Italian kitchen and a bistro all within a few blocks of the marina.
Port St. Lucie is newer and more spread out, and its best restaurants are tucked into shopping centers along U.S. 1 and in St. Lucie West and Tradition. Italian kitchens and breakfast cafes are the local strengths.
